A specialist SEN school in Ashford are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for a full time maternity cover post. The school delivers a differentiated curriculum for pupils with severe learning difficulties aged 11-19.
You will appreciate and support the role of teachers and other professionals by developing and delivering care and support programmes which enable access to learning in the community as part of a teacher planned approach. You will also be required to attend to pupils’ personal needs, implementing and maintaining personal care plans and paying attention to personal, health and welfare in line with school policies.
You will be available to work during school hours during term time and have flexibility to attend staff meetings and/or training sessions outside of school hours.
As a registered member of Teaching Personnel, you will be entitled to the following candidate benefits:

Musts:
• Be able to work from 8.30am-15.30pm weekdays
• A child only workforce DBS on the update service or willing to pay for a new child only DBS (£44) and then subscribe to the update service (£13)
• Minimum C in English and Maths GCSE or equivalent

• Challenging behaviour/SEN experience
