PMLD Teaching Assistant - Darlington

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Darlington (DL1) to recruit a full time Teaching Assistant to support students with PMLD. The role is being offered on a temporary basis, with a strong potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate. The position will commence ASAP and will involve working with a group of students across Key Stages with profound learning difficulties of varying natures. The nature of the roll includes assisting students with their personal care. A Moving and Handling qualification is desirable but not mandatory, care work and any other relevant experience is also considered.
The ideal candidate will have:
-At least three months teaching in an SEND environment
-An understanding/knowledge of PMLD and SLD
-TA Level 3 Qualification (relevant care experience/degree is also considered)
- A patient, nurturing and caring manner
