Calling All Creative Minds! Join Our Dynamic Design and Technology Team in Preston!

Are you passionate about shaping young minds and inspiring the next generation of innovators? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Design and Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team in Preston. This role starts in September 2026 with the opportunity to become a permanent position.

This schools believes in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through hands-on design and technology education. As a teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing the talents of the students, guiding them towards a future filled with endless possibilities.

Responsibilities:

-          Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that cover a range of design and technology areas, such as product design, graphic design, textiles, and more.

-          Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity through hands-on projects and activities.

-          Guide and support students in developing their practical skills, from concept to completion.

-          Assess and provide constructive feedback to students to help them progress in their learning journey.

-          Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share best practices.

-          Engage with parents and guardians to provide regular updates on students' progress.

Requirements:

-          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.

-          Strong knowledge and experience in teaching design and technology, preferably at the secondary level.

-          A passion for inspiring young minds and fostering a love for creative problem-solving.

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

-          Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
