Are you a qualified Physics teacher looking for a new role, new challenge or new environment?

Do you have a genuine passion for Science and a desire to help young people develop their understanding of the subject?

If the answer to either of these questions is 'yes,' then Teaching Personnel want to hear from you!

We're looking to appoint an enthusiastic Physics teacher to a role at one of our client secondary schools in Tameside. The position is a fixed term maternity cover starting at the beginning of November 2019 and running until the end of the academic year in July 2020. This Physics teacher role would be well suited to both experienced practitioners and newly qualified teachers.

Our client school prides itself on considering it a privilege to be entrusted with the education of young people and is keen to appoint a teacher to this full time Physics role who shares their ethos that every child is different and equally deserving of a quality education.

At KS3, the successful candidate will be expected to deliver all three Sciences to pupils, following the school's five-year AQA Trilogy curriculum covering key topics including Waves, Forces, Photosynthesis, Cells, Chemical Reactions and Atomic Structure to name a selection. At KS4, pupils continue their GCSE pathway, and in this Physics role, you will be expected to cover the Physics content which explores topics such as Energy, Electromagnetism and Matter, including delivery of the required practical investigations.

This school has a focus on delivering education that inspires, raising pupil aspirations and securing high pupil performance. With just over 1000 pupils on roll and state of the art facilities, this academic environment is somewhere to truly engage pupils in their learning. Located just off the M67, our client school is also easily accessible by bus and rail, making it convenient to get to, whether you possess your own transport or not.

Highlights of this Physics post:

  • Pay in line with your scale point MPS-UPS
  • Opportunity to contribute to pupil enrichment programme to promote relevance of Science in everyday life
  • Latest technological equipment and teaching aids at your disposal
  • Supportive senior leadership and vibrant Physics department
  • Regular CPD and career progression opportunities

To be eligible for this Physics position you will need to be available for full time work, have QTS in the UK, suitable school-based references and be able to apply for a fully enhanced DBS certificate.

If this Physics Teacher role is something that you would be interested in pursuing, please contact Harry at the Manchester Secondary Branch, or register your interest by uploading your CV via the link below.
