Are you a support assistant looking for new opportunities? Teaching Personnel are working closely with SEND schools in Bishop Auckland and the surrounding areas to recruit for their Primary Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) classes in the new academic year.
We have roles available supporting students with PMLD across Key Stages 1 and 2 who are in need of extra support throughout the school day. You will be responsible for enriching the schooling experience of pupils in the provision and assisting with moving and handling where possible (this qualification/training will be extremely beneficial). There is opportunity to work with SEND including but not limited to:
- Speech and language difficulties
- Downs Syndrome
- Physical Impairments
Ideally, you will have experience working with profound and multiple learning difficulties. However, we welcome candidates with backgrounds in education, youth/social work, care work and graduates; the most important quality is a passion for improving the lives of young people and a kind and nurturing personality. Registering with Teaching Personnel will provide you with access to unique CPD opportunities, including an regular Team Teach training as well as online courses to improve your knowledge of SEND.
You will be supported by a specialist team of SEN recruitment consultants with education backgrounds, who are well placed to enrol you onto your desired courses.
To be accepted for this role, you must have a Child Workforce Only DBS that is registered on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one through ourselves.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
