Permanent Teacher/SEN- Bracknell

Do you have experience working with young adults or children with complex behaviour and/or learning difficulties?

Or perhaps you have a background as a Support Worker, Care Worker, Key Worker or Youth Worker and feel confident working with children?

We have an immediate long term to permanent role in a lively school in Bracknell. The role will involve supporting pupils from Primary to Secondary 1:1 and 2:1 with complex learning needs which may include Autism. Pupils in class may also display challenging behaviours; however, you will be working alongside a skilled and highly supportive team.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll typically need to:

  • Follow instructions from Teachers in order to support effectively in the class room
  • Adhere to professional practice standards and legislation, including confidentiality, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion policies
  • Support students on 1:1, adapting your approach on a case by case basis in order to engage students effectively
  • Help children with learning and development
  • Coach, mentor and motivate children to understand the benefits of relevant activities
  • Interact with the children and keep them focussed on day to day classroom tasks

The successful candidate:

  • Proven experience teaching the UK curriculum
  • Child Only DBS or apply for one through Teaching Personnel
  • NQTs and/or OS-trained teachers welcome to apply
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
