Flexible, Part-Time Teaching Assistant & Unqualified Teaching Opportunities – Cardiff Secondary Schools
Mainstream Schools & Additional Needs Bases | Term Time Only | £95–£120 per day

At Teaching Personnel, we are recruiting adaptable, enthusiastic individuals to work on a part-time, flexible, ad hoc basis across a variety of secondary schools in Cardiff.

These roles involve supporting pupils aged 11–16 in both mainstream settings and Additional Learning Needs (ALN) bases.

No classroom experience is required – just confidence, reliability, and a positive attitude.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting students in lessons across a range of subjects
  • Providing 1:1 or small group support
  • Assisting pupils with additional learning needs
  • Helping to maintain a focused, positive learning environment
  • Delivering pre-set work in the absence of a teacher (unqualified teaching cover)

Pay & Flexibility

  • £95 – £120 per day (dependent on role and experience)
  • Work available Monday to Friday (term time only)
  • ✅ Choose the days you’re available
  • Access to our booking app where you can update availability and accept work

You’re in control of your schedule.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to undergo safeguarding vetting checks (including enhanced DBS)
  • Ability to start ASAP once vetting is cleared

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
