A Southampton school are currently looking for a full time female PE teacher to join their team due to an increase of female students attending the school. The successful candidate would be joining a “caring and stimulating ethos, which enables pupils to make strong progress". The position would be a permanent full time role in a ‘Good’ rated Ofsted school.
The school are looking for an individual who can teach across a wide variety of age groups from KS3 to KS4 utilising the national curriculum framework. The successful candidate will have to be able to inspire and engage students whilst enabling them to reach their full potential. The ability to build strong relationships with students is crucial to succeed in the role, as the successful candidate will have to set high expectations for students’ behaviour establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships.

This is supported with Ofsted’s latest report which states “leaders have developed innovative and highly effective approaches to training and developing teachers’ skills”.
Due to the PE department being very ambitious the successful candidate will:
- You will be a qualified Techer or hold relevant qualifications.
- Would be desirable if you hold a relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Passionate about having a career in teaching.
- Have good knowledge of the English curriculum.
- Have proven experience as a PE teacher and would be desirable you are capable of covering other subjects.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
