Pastoral Lead (Afternoons Only) – SEMH Focus in Colne
Position: Pastoral Lead – Afternoon Hours Only
Location: Colne (BB8)
Contract: Part-Time (Afternoon)
Start Date: Jan 2025
Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping families overcome challenges? The School is supportive and inclusive based in Colne. They are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Lead to work afternoons only, supporting students with SEMH needs and collaborating with families.
In this role, you will provide tailored pastoral support for children with SEMH needs, ensuring their well-being and emotional development are a priority. You will also be responsible for completing Early Help assessments to identify and address the needs of students and their families. You will work closely with families, building positive relationships and ensuring they have the support they need to help their child thrive both in and out of school.
You will be a key point of contact for students who require additional emotional support, offering a safe and nurturing environment in which they can express themselves and receive guidance. Additionally, you will work closely with school staff and external agencies to create a holistic support plan for students and their families, ensuring they receive the right help at the right time.
To be considered for this position, you should have experience working with children with SEMH needs and a strong understanding of how to deliver emotional and pastoral support effectively. Knowledge of Early Help assessments and working closely with families and external agencies will be essential. You must be a proactive and empathetic individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of building trust with both children and their families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
