Are you a Nottingham based Tutor, Teacher or TA interested in undertaking 1:1 tuition work in March/April 2024? If so then we would love to hear from you!

We have a wide breadth of tuition roles for a range of different pupils who are outside of mainstream school education. Some will need subject specific support (Typically core subjects) and some will need more engagement focussed tuition around relationship building.

We work with a broad and varied range of Local Authority Clients and independent provisions, including:

  • Virtual Schools (specifically for Looked After Children)
  • SEN teams for pupils with EHCP
  • SEN teams for pupils with no EHCP but no school placement
  • Specialist independent provisions for SEN pupils 

Typically tuition can take place in either the pupils home, carehome or can take place in a public library setting.

We are looking for tutors who are:

  • Passionate about making a difference to some of the vulnerable young people
  • Interested in part time or full-time work
  • Experienced in planning and delivering your own engaging lessons in core subjects and any other subjects the students require (on an individual basis)
  • Experienced with SEN such as, SEMH, anxiety, Autism and ADHD
  • Experienced and/or knowledgeable in Attachment Disorder and the impact of Childhood Trauma
  • Confident to manage challenging behaviour
  • Able to engage disaffected pupils and try to encourage them to participate in education 
  • Able to work professionally with foster carers and residential home staff
  • Competent at providing detailed, extensive feedback outlining student strengths and areas for development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
