It is surrounded by trees and greenery creating a tranquil atmosphere for an inner city school. As per its last Ofsted inspection in March 2016, it is a 'Good' school with particular praise for the focus on improving areas that were previously weaknesses. Also praised was the effective training for teachers that has led to pupils work improving across the whole school.
The school has created a friendly and caring environment where the parents, governors and the community strive to work in partnership to recognise the joint responsibility of home and school in a child's education. They aim to stimulate and motivate pupils to become independent learners and thinkers who are well balanced, globally and culturally respectful with strong Christian values.
