SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant – Skelmersdale 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and specialist school setting in Skelmersdale, starting in September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and making a real impact on their education and wellbeing.


The Role

  • Deliver targeted interventions to pupils with SEN/SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement personalised support plans
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback on pupil development
  • Support learning both inside and outside of the classroom, including more practical and engaging activities

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with SEN/SEMH pupils
  • Experience delivering or supporting interventions
  • Confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
  • A resilient, proactive, and patient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
