Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and highly regarded primary school in CF24 from September.
As a large, well-established school at the heart of our community, they pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and supportive environment where children, families and staff feel valued. We have high expectations for both learning and behaviour and are looking for a Teaching Assistant who shares these values and can make a positive contribution to our dedicated team.
This role will be based within a Year 3 class and would suit a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant who is able to work proactively, use their own initiative and build strong relationships with pupils and staff alike.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting.
- Be confident supporting pupils across the curriculum.
- Have experience delivering interventions and supporting small group learning.
- Be able to adapt learning activities to meet a range of needs and abilities.
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and maintain high expectations.
- Be nurturing, patient and approachable whilst remaining firm and consistent.
- Work effectively as part of a team and communicate professionally with colleagues and parents.
- Be organised, reliable and willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
