Part-Time English Teacher – Secondary School (Thornton, FY5)
Contract: January 2026 – March 2026 | 3 Days per Week

Are you a passionate and inspiring English Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity in a welcoming secondary school? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated educator to join a thriving school in Thornton (FY5) on a short-term basis from January to March 2026.

About the Role:

  • Position: English Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
  • Location: Thornton, FY5
  • Contract: Part-time (3 days per week)
  • Start Date: January 2026
  • End Date: March 2026
  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience and pay scale

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan and assess learning to support student progress
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold school values
  • Work collaboratively with the English department and pastoral teams

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to student development and safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
