Job description

English Teacher – Full-Time | Rawtenstall

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Location: Rawtenstall
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a supportive secondary provision in Rawtenstall. This is a full-time role, working with students who present challenging behaviour, so resilience, creativity, and a commitment to positive outcomes are essential.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to secondary-aged pupils.

  • Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

  • Work collaboratively with a skilled and supportive team.

  • Promote a positive learning environment and help students achieve their academic and personal goals.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience working with challenging behaviour or within an alternative or SEND provision is desirable.

  • Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing, adaptable approach.

  • A genuine passion for English and helping students reach their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
