Location: Rawtenstall, East Lancashire
Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover – Full Academic Year
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience
Are you an experienced and passionate English Teacher looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a full-time English Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Rawtenstall to cover a maternity leave for the full academic year.
This role involves working with pupils who present with challenging behaviour and require a tailored, nurturing approach to their learning. A strong sense of humour, excellent behaviour management skills, and a resilient, compassionate attitude are essential.
You will be joining a committed and supportive team, delivering engaging English lessons that help young people re-engage with education and build confidence in their abilities.
Key Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience in SEMH or alternative education settings (preferred)

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

A creative and flexible approach to teaching

Commitment to making a meaningful difference in students' lives

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
