Part time (0.4) English teacher required on a temporary basis from January 2019 in North Manchester. Due to the school creating smaller class sizes, our partner Secondary school wish to appoint a part time English teacher to join their team two days per week following the Christmas break.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a Roman Catholic Secondary school with state of the art facilities and outstanding CPD staff programmes. The position will be available until the end of the academic year initially, and the successful part time English teacher will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the school, funding dependent.

  • Full time English teacher required to start January 2019.
  • Initially required until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity to continue.
  • Teaching both KS3 and GCSE classes ranging in ability
  • Large Roman Catholic Secondary school located on the border of North Manchester and Oldham
  • Pay in line with MPS dependant on previous teaching experience

This is a rare opportunity for any English teachers looking to work within a large improving Roman Catholic Secondary school which holds an excellent reputation for promoting inclusivity throughout all activities. This school is located in Moston, a short drive from the M62/M60 making the surrounding easily commutable; Oldham, Bury, Manchester, and Tameside.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a flourishing, forward thinking Roman Catholic Secondary school who value their staff and the progress of all pupils. The school is significantly larger than average with around 1300 pupils on roll, of which there are a higher than average number of pupils who speak English as an additional language (EAL).

English teachers wishing to be considered for this opportunity will be required to hold the following:

  • QTS or NQT status in secondary English teaching
  • Experience teaching English to KS3 and GCSE pupils of all abilities
  • Experience working with behaviour at all levels, behaviour management skills are expected to be 'good'.
