Outreach Teacher - Oldham - September 2019

Job description

A young people's residential home situated in Oldham is currently looking to appoint an outreach Teacher who can work across schools within the Oldham Borough. Experience working in a children's residential setting, care home or specialist PRU is desirable but not essential as long as you can display high levels of emotional and physical resilience.

Your role as an Outreach Teacher will involve working in various schools throughout the Oldham borough supporting the reintegration of young people who are in care of the local authority back into mainstream settings wherever possible.

Due to the nature of the needs of the children the ideal Teacher will have:

- Team Teach training (Teaching Personnel can provide)

- Experience working with vulnerable pupils IE personal experience, experience in residential/ PRU's or SEMH Settings

- A can do attitude and strong physical presence

- A willingness to get stuck in

- High levels of emotional and physical resilience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
