Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Primary School
Fareham | Part-Time | Start Date: March 2026
We are currently seeking a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Fareham on a part-time basis from March 2026.
This role is ideal for someone looking for a flexible working pattern while making a positive impact on children’s learning and development. You will play a key role in supporting pupils who may require additional academic, social, or emotional support within the classroom.
The Role
As a Part-Time Primary LSA, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils
- Assist children with additional needs, including SEN where required
- Support the class teacher with lesson activities and classroom management
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and participation
- Follow safeguarding policies and school procedures at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and inclusion
- Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team
- Is enthusiastic about supporting children’s progress and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
