We're recruiting for Tutors in the North Nottinghamshire areas, specifically in:
- Mansfield
- Worksop
- Shirebrook
- Sutton in Ashfield
- Kirkby in Ashfield
We have had a high demand of referrals for Looked After Children who do not have a school place and are requirinng 1:1 tutoring. This can take place in a number of environments including; school, home, or local library.
Some of these students may have SEMH or SEN needs due to experiencing traumatic childhoods and require further opportunities for learning outside of school, in a quieter and more relaxed environment which suits them.
Some of the children may display challenging behaviour or a lack of focus, so an engaging and enthusiastic approach to learning, as well as the patience to simplify and give thorough explanations of the work is essential to obtain progress and results.
Candidates must ideally have some experience of tuition or teaching work in small groups such as PRU's or Alternative Provisions, up to and including GCSE level across a range of subjects as often the children require cross curricular support.
If you are looking for flexible opportunities for a couple of hours work per day or something extra, tuition is the perfect opportunity. A DBS on the update service for this role is essential and can be applied for through Teaching Personnel. If you have the right experience for this type of work, please apply with your CV!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
