Newly Qualified Primary Teacher 
Location: Bridgend
Daily Rate: From £66.32 (in line with the National Framework)
Job Type: Full-Time | Long-Term Placement

Are you a passionate Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT)ready to begin your teaching journey in a supportive and rewarding primary school environment? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable NQTs to take on a full-time teaching role at a welcoming primary school in Bridgend.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to gain hands-on classroom experience across Reception to Year 6. The successful candidate will lead classes of up to 30 pupils, supported by a team of Teaching Assistants, and will be provided with weekly PPA (Planning, Preparation & Assessment) time.

The role involves covering a range of year groups depending on the school’s needs, so flexibility and the ability to quickly build rapport with pupils is essential. You’ll be part of a nurturing school community committed to pupil development and teacher growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons across Reception to Year 6

  • Creating and adapting lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs

  • Collaborating with teaching assistants to support classroom learning

  • Managing pupil behaviour in line with individual behaviour plans

  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment


What We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)obtained in the UK
Recent teaching placement experience with strong references
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Flexible, proactive, and passionate about education
Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)or willing to apply
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one – we can help!)
