About the role

-Year 5/6 Teacher covering a Maternity

-Start date 1st September 2025, end date July 2026 (full 1 year cover)

-Pay rate starts at £166 per day based on Welsh Government Framework, will look to pay to scale from day one

About the school

-Medium sized primary school based near Fairwater, Cardiff

-Roughly 400 pupils on roll

-Excellent transport links, access to free parking

-Long standing Headteacher with supportive staff structure

About you

-You will have a Primary Education degree or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

-You will be teaching a combined year 5/6 class with around 8 learners having mild Additional Learning Needs (ALN)

-You will preferably have experience in delivering the Curriculum for Wales but not essential

-You will also need to be fully registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

-To be put forward for this role, you would need to undergo a 30-minute face to face registration with Teaching Personnel which would include reference and DBS checks
