Are you a Music teacher with KS4 experience looking for a full time position starting in June?

If so, then we at Teaching Personnel have a very exciting opportunity for you. We are currently recruiting for a full time Music teacher in Rochdale in a school rated good by Ofsted. This is a long term vacancy due to a maternity cover and will start in May/June. Successful candidates must have experience of work within a secondary school environment teaching music at GCSE level.

The role will consist of covering Music classes over a long term basis covering maternity leave. This will involve teaching a large range of students including Year 10 and 11 GCSE students so the successful candidate must have KS4 teaching experience. For KS4 students, the school follow the Edexcel BTEC Level 2 First Award in Music. This course encourages students to work collectively and independently and focuses on the key musical skills of performing and composing alongside aspects of working in the music industry.

Music is a very important subject in our school as we believe it helps to empower students to develop their senses of self-discipline, aesthetic sensitivity, creativity and musical identity and because of this philosophy we require a strong Music teacher who is passionate about teaching and has experience with working with KS4 pupils." - Head Teacher

Our client school is a mixed school with state of the art facilities, aiming to provide excellent opportunities for over 1000 pupils studying with them. Rated as good by Ofsted this is an excellent opportunity for a Music teacher to gain further experience and network within a further secondary school environment.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
