I am currently recruiting for a specialist SEN School located in the heart of Stoke City. Ideally, the school are looking for two Secondary Teachers (no subject specialism required) and one Primary Teacher. As the school caters for young people with complex needs, majority of pupils are working at Plevels and low National Curriculum levels.
This is a relatively new school that has joined a successful multi-academy trust and is looking to expand their staffing team to accomodate for more pupils.
This position is to start from February half term on a permanent basis. The school would like to meet and interview members of staff ideally over the February half term so please apply ASAP.
The teacher would ideally;
- Have experience working in a specialist setting with young people with additional needs
- Have knowledge and understanding of profound and multiple learning needs
- Have experience teaching to Plevels and low national curriculum levels
- Have a strong passion for working with young people with special educational needs
- Have experience using communication aids, e.g. Makaton, Ipads, PECs
