Motor Vehicles Teacher

A large, well respected pupil referral unit (PRU) in Wakefield are looking to appoint a teacher of Motor Vehicles from September. The candidate must have formal teaching qualifications as well as Internal Assessors award, D32, D34, D36 and qualifications in motor industry (ABC awards). Recent experience of teaching the motor vehicles curriculum in an education environment is also essential. 

The role is on a full time basis, and can be on a permanent basis if the candidate chooses. The school has excellent facilities and a large supportive senior leadership team that all of the same aim of helping each pupil have the best educational experience possible and gain real practical skills that will set them up for a successful future. 

"The children we support have struggled to engage in formal education, so we look for alternative ways to help them gain the vital skills and knowledge they need for the future. We keep class sizes very small, provide additional support for all children who need it and give young people the space to develop at their own pace. Wherever possible, we involve the children in outdoor learning and give them more vocational options as they progress within the school. We go to great lengths to keep our children engaged and, if they are unable to get to school, then our teachers will take the lessons to them at home"
