Mobile Catering Assistant – School Kitchens | Sheffield | Part/Full Time - Term-Time Only ️
Are you a reliable and enthusiastic individual with experience in catering? We’re looking for a Mobile Catering Assistant to support school kitchens across Sheffield, helping to prepare and serve meals to pupils in a safe, friendly environment.
Location: Various school sites across Sheffield
Role: Mobile Catering Assistant
Start Date: Immediate
⏰ Hours: Part or full time Term-time only
Contract: Ongoing supply cover with potential for permanent roles
Duties Include:
- Assisting with food preparation and basic cooking
- Serving meals to pupils in a friendly and efficient manner
- Cleaning kitchen areas and equipment to high hygiene standards
- Following food safety and health & safety guidelines
- Travelling between different school sites as required
✅ Requirements:
- Previous catering or kitchen assistant experience (preferably in a school or similar setting)
- Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to complete training)
- Ability to travel to multiple school locations (car driver desirable)
- Friendly, approachable, and adaptable attitude
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
