Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – S36 Sheffield | Full-Time | Immediate Start
Are you a qualified and confident HLTA looking for your next opportunity? A supportive primary school in the S36 area of Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team.
Location: S36, Sheffield
Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary (EYFS / KS1 / KS2)
Start Date: Immediate
⏰ Contract: Full-time | Long-term | Temp-to-perm potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lessons to whole classes, small groups, and individuals as directed
- Provide PPA cover or short-term teacher absence cover
- Support class teachers with planning, preparation and assessment
- Assist pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEN
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
✅ Requirements:
- HLTA qualification (or equivalent)
- Recent experience working as an HLTA or delivering whole-class teaching
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
