Are you a grad or looking at becoming an SEN teacher? Are you only available for a few days a week due to other commitments and would like to work ad hoc in an SEN school? Are you a retired teacher looking for part time work still within education?
I am currently looking for bank staff to support an SEN school in the Portslade area of Brighton. The school is a 70 pupil community special school which has pupils from 4 - 16 years. The pupils' needs range from having Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities to Severe or Moderate Learning Disabilities. Some of the pupils have an additional diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition.
The pupils are taught in discrete groups (PMLD / SLD / ASC) across each Key Stage as they feel this gives them the maximum potential for learning and social development, but the school also work inclusively across the school too for curriculum and social experiences.
The school is calm, purposeful and friendly with a family atmosphere appreciated by our families and other visitors. They understand the holistic nature of their work and regard meeting the physical and emotional needs of the pupils as essential alongside being aspirational for their learning.
If you would like to know more about this role and are happy to work at the school for a free trial day to then potentially be booked again once the school have established if you are the right match, please call me or email your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org
