Job description

LEA's situated in Oldham are looking to appoint specialist Tutors who can support the development of pupils who are being educated outside of mainstream education. The pupils who require tuition may be being educated outside of education for a variety of reasons which may include: extreme challenging behaviours, SEMH needs and LAC pupils.

To be considered for this positions Tutors should have:

- Qualified Teacher Status or significant tutoring experience

- A passion for supporting pupils who identified as LAC or hard to reach

- High levels of emotional and physical resilience

- A knowledge of how to plan and deliver sessions up to Maths and English GCSE

Each referral will involve working a minimum of 10 hours per week which is usually spread out over 5 days (2 hours each day). If you feel that you have the appropriate skills and expertise to be considered for the role please apply directly by submitting a CV and covering letter.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
