Maths and English Intervention year 6 Teaching Assistant needed in Romford:
- Working across Year 6 raising children’s attainment in both Maths and English in preparation for SATs.
- Welcoming staff room atmosphere with a support network in place to support all staff.
- Graded “good” school with Continuous Professional Development high on the agenda to develop all staff.
- 5 days a week
The school in Romford is working in partnership with Teaching Personnel to recruit a year 6 Maths and English Intervention Teaching Assistant. The role will involve working with identified groups of children in year 6 to develop their confidence and motivation for Mathematics and English to raise their attainment. The role will involve collaborating with the class teachers to plan group intervention lessons and deliver and assess the children’s progress following the schools assessment scheme.
The school has recently been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The school has a supportive team and require an enthusiastic practitioner looking to be a part of a school which is a big part of the local community. All members of staff work hard to support children’s next steps, progression and attainment. Subject leaders work hard to support across the school and key actions have been successfully targeted.
The Romford school is looking to start the successful candidate in September. The school are looking for a confident and caring educator to support the KS2 children and develop their confidence in school. The two form entry school is fast paced and very welcoming. The children are well behaved due to a consistent and fair behaviour management policy and children are given the opportunity to take responsible for their behaviour.
