Maths Teacher/ Teacher of Maths

Due to a member of the Maths faculty going on maternity leave our client secondary school in Rochdale is currently seeking a teacher of Maths to join their department on a full time basis. This position will be starting from the May half term and will continue for a year.

This is a mixed 11 -16 secondary school located in the semi rural setting of Rochdale near Littleborough, the school is easily accessible via the M60 and the M62 and for those who don't drive there is a range of public transport links a short walk from the school.

Our client secondary school is a larger than average secondary with over 1250 students currently on roll, the majority of students come from the surrounding areas with a large proportion being of White British Heritage. In recent years, the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership team restructured their behaviour management policy and their approach to teaching and learning which has had a positive outcome on student behaviour and attitude to learning. The incoming Maths teacher will be joining a successful Maths department who are always striving to become outstanding, in 2017 over 60% of student achieved a standard pass in Maths.

The incoming Maths teacher will:

• Have a UK QTS specialising in Mathematics
• Develop and plan learning activities based on the individuals learning styles and ability
• Provide learning activities that stretch and challenge al students in order to make progress
• Build a positive relationship with the students to support learning
• Liaise with the Head of Maths on the progress and performance of all students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
