Maths Teacher - Sheffield

Our client secondary school are looking for a Maths teacher to join their Maths department in April for the remainder of the academic year. The school are looking for a confident and effective classroom practitioner who is available on a full time basis.

Initially this Maths post will be on a supply basis with the view to the successful teacher transitioning on to a permanent contract if the applicant is interested in such a role.

Highlights of this Maths teaching position:

  • Pay range dependent on experience and pay-scale: range between ÂŁ110 - ÂŁ160 per day
  • Full time Maths teaching position starting in April 2019
  • Teach at a highly supportive secondary school able to support with a NQT induction year
  • Applications encouraged from NQTs and experienced teachers at any stage of the pay-scale
  • Work alongside an effective and highly committed team within the Maths department

The school is situated in the south Sheffield area making it very easy to access for any teacher on public transport. The local tram link services the school very well with regular trams (and buses) going to the school with a very short walk. The school is housed in a new building with excellent facilities and a large secure on site car park.

The successful Maths teacher will be teaching KS3 and KS4 across the entire ability range. Students are in mixed cohorts so differentiation will be key as well as strong classroom management and a professional manner.

  • Payrolled through Teaching Personnel in the first instance but with an option to progress onto a school contract
