Have you previously taught in a specialist SEN or SEMH provision? Or do you possess a strong passion to teach pupils with SEN or SEMH?

We want to hear from you!

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint an engaging Maths Teacher (NQT, FQT or OTT) for an SEMH provision in Kings Lynn. Encouraging confidence and ensuring pupils have access to their education entitlement; you will be teaching Maths at GCSE level to pupils who display challenging behaviour and Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues (SEMH). This rewarding but demanding position is unique, where no two days will be the same. Class sizes are small with approx. 6-8 pupils. 1 teacher and up to 2 teaching assistants per class. Smaller class sizes and additional support are in place to ensure pupils stay engaged and make good progress with their educational programme.

The School

  • Encouraging the development and confidence of each pupil means that activities take place both on and off the school site.
  • On-site facilities include a sports centre, music studio and vocational workshops.
  • The school has a strong focus on the promotion of well-being as well as vocational and academic programmes, which are personalised for students.
  • Class sizes at the school are small, with around 6-8 pupils per class and approx. 2 Teaching Assistants per class.

The Successful Applicant:

  • Must be a qualified teacher with experience teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4.
  • Should either have experience of working with students with SEMH, communication difficulties or complex needs or have a strong interest and a passion to teach pupils with SEN.
