Mathematics teacher required for large mixed comprehensive Secondary school in Salford.

Due to departmental restructure, our client Secondary school require a full time Maths teacher to join their team in the new academic year, September 2018, or sooner if possible.

This position is an open vacancy and will result in a permanent appointment for the successful Maths teacher.

  • Full time Mathematics teacher required, September 2018 start
  • Permanent position, teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE
  • Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school, located in Salford
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£22,917 - £38,633 per annum)

"Our school have an opening for a full time Mathematics teacher in the new academic year. In order to be considered, it is essential that the pending Maths teacher has evidence of outstanding practice, and can implement the schools ethos and values whilst creating challenging and engaging sessions inclusive of all abilities. It is possible that the successful Mathematics teacher can begin the post prior to the new academic year." - Head Teacher

The Mathematics department have been praised for successfully raising attainment across the cohort in the past three academic years, and due to this, results have increased dramatically. More than 80% of pupils achieved a grade A*-C in Mathematics last academic year. The incoming Maths teacher will be required to demonstrate examples of outstanding practice and support the department in improving grades further.

Located near to the south of Salford, our client Secondary school can be accessed via the M602 and A580 (East Lancashire Road). For public transportation users, there are a variety of methods to reach the school from central Manchester, Trafford and Salford central.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
