Maths Teacher - Tameside

  • Full time Maths Teaching position to July
  • Pay ranging from £95-£150 per day
  • Modern facilities and state of the art teaching aids

Large Academy School in Tameside are in need of a Maths teacher to fill a recent vacancy within their department. The school has outstanding start of the art facilities and modern teaching aids that will enable a teacher of Maths to make a real difference within the department and students taught. With the GCSE examinations on the horizon you will be expected to take on full teaching responsibilities of planning, marking and regular student assessment.

The school has over 1300 pupils on roll there is a high percentage of students eligible for free school meals at 48% and the school is currently achieve slightly bellow national averages.

In their 2015 Ofsted report the schools leadership and management was graded Good due to the direction of the senior leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths teacher to work within a supportive secondary school on a long term supply basis. The school are ideally looking to see candidates for interviews the first week back after Easter so you will need to attend this.

The Maths team is large with 8 full time teachers and a highly respected head of department. You will be expected to take on full teaching responsibilities and ensure students reach expected progress targets.

• Excellent facilities and teaching aids

• Working within a supportive Maths department

• Full time post to the end of the academic year with the potential to continue in September

You will need to apply for a DBS certificate, have suitable teaching references and be available for full time work after Easter. Situated in the OL6 post code of Tameside the school has direct public transport routes that go directly to the school.
