Manchester secondary looking for full or part time Mathematics teacher - October half term start

Due to maternity leave, our client school have the need for a temporary Mathematics teacher to join them on either a full or part time basis for the remainder of the academic year starting after October half term.

* M1-M6 on school based contract or supply

* North Manchester school based short drive from M60

* Full or part time Maths teaching post from October half term

Our client school is looking to expand their Mathematics department with the addition of a suitably qualified Maths teacher. This is a maternity absence in the first instance, but as the school have a planned intake of an extra 60 students next year, there will be an opportunity for a school contract from September for an Maths teacher with a commitment to raising attainment and contributing to the wider scale development of the students.

Our client school is a smaller than average mixed secondary in Harpurhey, newly opened in 2010. The school is situated on the A6010 and is accessible from Manchester and surrounding areas by the local rail station. The school was most recently graded as “Good” by Ofsted with a key feature being ‘The Principal, sponsors and SLT communicate an exceptionally strong and articulated vision for the academy.’ A large majority of the cohort enter the school at Year 7 with levels of attainment below the national average but by Year 8, excellent progress has been made with literacy and numeracy levels in line with the national average.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths teacher to join an academy with a collaborative attitude and regular CPD opportunities to develop teaching style.

If you are a Maths teacher with a relevant teaching qualification and would like to be considered for this post, please send a full CV to miles.cardilli@teachingpersonnel or call 0161 242 1794 for more information.
