Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Teacher of Maths to join one of our secondary schools in the South Tyneside area.
The school itself is a 'Good' school which enjoys a positive reputation in the local area. The successful candidate would be joining a high achieving Maths department who have posted positive Progress 8 scores over the last 3 years and are looking to consolidate this by employing a high calibre practitioner to the department. As such, the contract will initially be until the end of the calendar year, with a view to extending it for the correct person.
The Role:
- Teaching Maths to Key Stages 3 and 4
- Maintaining the high and rigorous departmental standards
- Contribute to school wide cross-curricular activity
- Beginning in Easter 2020 until December 2020
The successful candidate will:
- Have a track record of raising attainment
- Effective behaviour management skills to keep all pupils engaged
- Have gained Maths QTS and preferably have at least 3 years experience
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that are accessible to all learners, despite of their attainment levels
- Willing to contribute to the department life through collaborative lesson planning, adjusting and creating schemes of work and running intervention where necessary
