The Role:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and inspiring mathematics lessons to students aged 11-16. You will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise to create dynamic lesson plans, cater to diverse learning styles, and promote a positive learning environment where every student can reach their full potential. Collaboration with colleagues, participation in departmental meetings, and involvement in extracurricular activities are integral parts of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners and ensure progress for all.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track attainment levels.
  • Establish a supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for improvement.
  • Engage with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders to foster positive relationships and support student development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for learning.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
