Maths Tutors – Nottinghamshire

£25–£30 per hour | Flexible hours | 1:1 and small-group tuition

TP Tutors is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Maths Tutors to deliver high-quality, tailored tuition across Nottinghamshire. If you have a passion for teaching and helping learners overcome challenges with maths, this role offers the chance to make a real impact.

The Role

You will provide personalised maths tuition to learners who require additional support, either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Sessions may take place in students’ homes, schools, or community venues. Lessons will be adapted to meet each learner’s needs, with a focus on building confidence, closing gaps, and preparing for exams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging maths tuition from KS2 to KS4 (including GCSE)

  • Adapt teaching to suit a range of learning styles and abilities

  • Break down complex concepts in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and problem-solving

  • Track progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of the maths curriculum (KS2–KS4, ideally GCSE)

  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience (SEND/SEMH experience desirable)

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A flexible, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Current safeguarding training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
