A medium-sized Secondary Academy in the Kirklees area of West Yorkshire are currently seeking a full time, permanent teacher of Maths to start in September 2016. The timetable includes KS3 and KS4 Maths classes, with some time dedicated to small group intervention.
Recent experience of delivering Maths up to GCSE level is essential, and you must have a sound understanding of the current curriculum and be confident teaching GCSE exam groups.
The school are seeking to appoint a teacher with a passion for their subjects and the ability and enthusiasm to convey this across KS3 & 4 and keep students engaged and enthused in Maths. The position would be ideally suited to those who are creative, inspirational and dedicated to improving the achievement within the Maths department. As part of this large Maths department, you would have the full support of experienced teachers around you and therefore NQTs would also be considered for the role. You would also have the opportunity to take part in several CPD courses throughout the academic year, as well as getting involved in extra-curricular activities and the chance to lead your own activities.
