Job description

Position: Maths Teacher

Location: Blackpool

Start date: ASAP

Contract type: Full-time, temp-perm

A secondary school in Blackpool is seeking to hire a full-time Maths Teacher who can start ASAP. The successful Maths Teacher will collaborate with an accomplished Maths department that is continually improving, as well as a school that is committed to raising standards for behavior and academic performance.

The successful Maths Teacher will have great classroom management skills, be able to handle difficult behavior situations, and be comfortable with students who are exhibiting SEMH.

What skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Holds high standards of teaching and learning
  • Holds nationally recognised teaching qualification (QTS)
  • Has strong classroom teacher, demonstrating ability to innovate
  • Is able to show evidence of the use of technology in teaching and learning
  • Can be flexible and responsive to a changing educational environment
  • Contributes to whole school initiatives
  • Is committed to working co-operatively with young people; able to communicate sensitively, imaginatively and effectively with them
  • Able to communicate effectively with parents to represent the school positively and feedback information as appropriate
  • Willing to contribute to the professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
