Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant Needed in Wilmslow!

Are you a recent Maths graduate looking to jumpstart your career in education? Teaching Personnel is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join an Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Wilmslow as a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant.

Role Overview: As a full-time Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of Mathematics within the school. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Maths department in delivering high-quality lessons to students aged 11-16, under the guidance of experienced teachers.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help with mathematical concepts, problem-solving, or exam preparation.
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement engaging educational resources and activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Supporting students with their coursework, homework assignments, and overall academic progress in Mathematics.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and confident in their mathematical abilities.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a strong understanding of key mathematical concepts.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential.
  • Enthusiasm for education and a genuine desire to inspire a love for Mathematics in students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
