Are you a recent Graduate of a Maths-based Subject? Are you interested in using your skills to provide additional support within a School Environment?
Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a Maths Graduate on behalf of a client school in Durham. There are a number of roles within the school which you may be involved in, including:
- Cover Supervisor - ensuring that pupils are effectively completing work set by an absent teacher
- Teaching Assistant - working alongside the main class teacher to provide additional support for pupils
- Learning Support Assistant - working with specific pupils during class, providing additional support
- 1:1 and Group Tutor - working on specific subject areas, providing expert knowledge in the subject to boost knowledge
- Revision Mentor - ensuring pupils are effectively revising for exams by providing additional support and advice
The school are looking for subject specialists to work this term in order to boost the attainment of pupils prior to the examination period. With over 800 pupils on roll, the school size is average but is in an area of high deprivation due to this they are always looking for extra support on both a full and part time basis. Students are well behaved and the school prides it self on its inclusive and caring atmosphere. This combined with the SLT's continued commitment to the performing arts, sports and a wealth of extra-curriculars ensures all learners are fully supported and challenged to achieve their potential. Our partner Secondary school can be accessed via public transport.
All Graduates that are interested in this position are urged to submit a full CV to Poonam Singh. For further information, please contact the Tyne & Wear Secondary Office on 0191 2235071.
