Science Teacher – Secondary School, Gillingham

Start Date: September

Are you an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher looking for a new challenge from September? We are looking for an inspiring and knowledgeable Teacher of Science to join a successful secondary school in Gillingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who wants to encourage curiosity, develop scientific thinking and help students achieve their full potential. You will join a supportive department where collaboration, creativity and high-quality teaching are valued.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Teach engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with Key Stage 5 opportunities where suitable)

  • Inspire students through practical learning, investigation and real-world scientific applications

  • Create lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities

  • Monitor progress and help students build confidence in their scientific knowledge

  • Work alongside colleagues to contribute to the continued success of the department

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be completing teacher training

  • Have a strong understanding and enthusiasm for Science

  • Be able to deliver creative, well-planned and effective lessons

  • Have high expectations and a commitment to improving student outcomes

  • Be a positive and supportive member of the school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
