Are you a Maths teacher able to teach GCSE and A-level and available at the beginning of October 2018?

Are you passionate about teaching Maths within a college setting?

A college in the Tameside area of Greater Manchester is looking for a further education teacher of Maths who can teach up to A-level Maths starting with them in October. This is to cover a maternity leave for the remainder of the college academic year and will be on a 0.8 basis in the first instance.

The successful Maths teacher will be teaching GCSE resits as well as A-level at various stages of the academic year. This is a part time 0.8 opportunity with the successful Maths teacher having Fridays off timetable.

Highlights of this Maths teaching position:

  • Pay range between £120 - £160 per day depending on experience
  • Part time Maths teaching opportunity; teaching GCSE and A-level Maths
  • Start October 2018 for the remainder of the college academic year
  • Academic college in the Tameside area of Greater Manchester

The college is the further education establishment of choice in the area of Tameside for many students, having links with many of the local secondary schools. The college is therefore looking for a Maths teacher who can impart their expert subject knowledge and is keen on teaching students who are engaged with college life.

The college is situated in the heart of Tameside making it very easy to get to via the local main roads and public transport. The local train station is a short walk away from the college with plenty of parking available for the successful Maths teacher.

GCSE resits can take place throughout the year and this will be a focus for the successful Maths teacher. Any relevant experience of working with borderline students would therefore be relevant and ideal.

  • Planning and marking will be part of this Maths teaching position
