Mathematics Teacher - Kingston (£150-£200 a day)

Job description

There is a school based in the Kingston area currently searching for someone to fill their Maths vacancy. The ideal candidate will be experienced teaching Maths at KS3, 4 or 5 level and looking for a full time and long term role. There are interviews in the week following the October half term break with a view to start towards the end of October, beginning of November.

The Maths teachers who will be successful in the interview process will need to possess a good subject knowledge and a passionate about their subject. As with any strong teacher, the candidate must be able to control the class whether through inspiration and engagement or any other behaviour policy.

Maths Teacher Required in Kingston

Details about the role are below:

  • The school are looking for people with UK recognised teaching qualifications (e.g. QTS, PGCE, BEd).
  • Experience teaching Maths at Secondary school, KS3-5 level, is required.
  • It is an "outstanding" rated school with a strong and decisive leadership who ensure the schools high standards are met.
  • Pay ranges from £150-200 a-day depending on experience and qualifications
  • Full-time role: 5 days a week, 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • It would be a long term placement with an option to go permanent
  • An 12 minute walk from Kingston station

The Role

This role is a great opportunity for any eager and ambitious teachers looking for a new challenge. Once in this role there will be an expectation to plan, prepare and conduct lessons as well as marking work and providing feedback. Teachers who are willing to run catch up sessions, have experience running extra curricular groups or working with SEN students will stand out.
