  • Able to provide a 6 year career history and suitable references
  • Be willing to apply for a DBS that is registered for the update service if you do not already hold one

  • To be flexible and adaptable; able to take calls at short notice and be whiling to cover a range of subjects
  • Good classroom management skills and be able to build good rapport quickly with students and staff alike
  • Be able to absorb information quickly as well as take direction from usual school staff
  • Be able to adhere to differing school polices, implementing when necessary
  • Be able to stay calm in sometimes more stressful situations
  • Have a good sense of humour

As a Supply Teacher for Teaching Personnel, you will benefit from:

  • Fair rates of pay
  • Access to a CPD Academy to ensure you do not miss out on any training
  • Weekly pay with an online portal to manage your diary, bookings and payslips
  • Dedicated consultant who will continue to offer support and guidance
  • The choice of a variety of work including short term supply, long term supply and tuition; Teaching Personnel works in partnership with local authorities to provide 1:1 bespoke tuition programmes for students who may have SEN, considered ‘looked after’ or have access to the pupil premium.

“Very impressive. They really take the time to get to know candidates, and then suggest supply placements based on skills and experience. There is no attempt to slot staff into positions without considering whether it is a suitable position and Teaching Personnel really understand this. You feel well looked after. It's a very effective personalised approach that is really appreciate” – Candidate Review.
