Literacy Coach - Prestwich

One of our client schools based in Prestwich are seeking a highly inspirational individual to improve and raise the standards of literacy in the school as a Literacy Coach from September 2019. This is an exciting opportunity for either a recent graduate or an experienced teacher who are seeking new challenges, and is initially on a fixed term contract for the duration of the academic year.

  • Full time Literacy Coach required from September 2019
  • Until at least the end of the academic year with the opportunity for a permanent role for the perfect candidate
  • Earn up to £1300 per month (negotiable depending on experience)
  • Situated a short drive from M60 motorway

Our client school is situated in the Prestwich area of Bury, Greater Manchester. It is easily accessible from a number of public transport options and is a located a short drive from the M60 motorway. This smaller than average secondary school has under 900 students, and the building had a major refurbishment in 2010. Since the relatively new Headteacher was appointed, the school has continued to improve and is focussed on improving even further, with students' academic progress at the forefront of all priorities.

Working as a Literacy Coach at our client school, the ideal candidate will work alongside the English department in raising the standards of literacy across the school. This is a new and exciting role in which the perfect candidate will develop their ideas into strategies in order to help students improve both their spoken and written English. Using 1:1 and small group intervention will allow the incoming Literacy Coach to raise attainment and the use of literacy throughout all year groups.

If you would like to apply for this post as a Literacy Coach, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
