Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Working across years’ 4, 5 & 6

Upper Key Stage 2 knowledge is essential

SATS experience would be desirable 

Teaching Personnel, Lancashire East Primary branch are seeking to recruit experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant, to provide 1:1 and group support for pupils across Key Stage 2. The position will is located in a Accrington Primary School, located just outside the town centre. The position is to work five mornings a week, 8:30 – 12:30, with the opportunity to secure a longer term position. The head teacher has stated that the successfully candidate will have experience delivering 1:1/group interventions, be able to work in-line with numerous key stage 2 curriculums & provide general support to class teachers. The weekly structure will be as follows: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday = year 6, Tuesday = Year 4 & Friday = Year 5. The school is well regarded within Accrington area, with close ties to the local community. With the school maintaining their ‘Good’ grading by Ofsted in 2019, the school are looking to build on this and are aiming to become outstanding by 2023.

The rate of pay would be depending on experience & qualifications. A very refreshing quote from the head teacher stating ‘we don’t mind paying more for a quality candidate’. The school are hoping to have the candidate in place from the start of April. This role will be a permanent role if the candidate gets on well! This could be the perfect opportunity for someone looking for part time work, around parental duties.
