Position: Teaching Assistant (Year 4)
Location: Blackburn
Hours: [Full-time
Start Date: November after half term

Join Our Team

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to support learning in our Year 4 class. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's education by working closely with the class teacher to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and help children achieve their full potential.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Assist in preparing classroom resources and maintaining an organised learning environment.
  • Support children with a range of learning needs, adapting activities where appropriate.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, playtimes, educational visits, and other school activities as required.
  • Contribute to assessing pupils' progress by providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Promote the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils at all times.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children (desirable).
  • Has a positive, patient, and nurturing approach.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is enthusiastic about supporting children's academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Can use initiative while working under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
